AKUA & Gelli Plate Printmaking Workshop

This workshop is meant as an introduction to this new and unique method for making prints. The focus will be on making simple stencils and abstract work that will allow you time to discover how you can use this method to make your own prints without a printing press in your own home! You will learn the basics of working with Gelli Plates and make a small series of monotypes in this workshop. All materials will be provided for the participants, though we do ask you to bring an apron or wear a work shirt. Participants should bring lunch and refreshments. No food or drink will be provided.

The workshop will be led by Melanie Yazzie, Professor of Art Practices and Head of Printmaking at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
Ages 18+
$100 non-members, $75 MOA members
No prior experience is needed. Workshop limited to 12 participants.
